Crochet BT21 Cooky free English pattern

MATERIALS:

2 mm Tulip crochet hook

6 mm safety eyes

Fiberfill

Hard felt cloth in Black

Black mercerized thread

Tapestry needle and scissor


YARNS:


Milk cotton yarn in

Light Pink and White


ABBREVIATIONS:


RND - round

RNDS - rounds

ch - chain

chs - chains

sc - single crochet

st - stitch

sts - stitches

sl st - slip stitch

inc - increase

dec – decrease


EARS (make 2)

RND 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, 6 sc inside

Sl st in the 1st st, and ch 1

(Do these in each RND of the ears)

RND 2: 2 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 8 sc

RND 3 – 8: sc all around = 6 RNDS of 8 sc

Sl st in the first st, cut off the yarn leaving a long yarn tail



Arms (make 2)
Crochet with White yarn

RND 1: 6 sc in magic ring

Sl st in the 1s st, and ch1

(Do these in each RND of the arms)

RND 2: 2 sc, 1 inc (2x) = 8 sc

Sl st in the first st and cut off the yarn leaving a small yarn tail.

Change the color to Light Pink yarn

Place it in the first st and ch 1

RND 3 – 6: sc all around = 4 RNDSof 8 sc

Put a small amount of fiberfill inside of the arms.

Flatten the edges 4 sc through sts of both layers (closing the hole). Fasten off and cut off the yarn leaving a small yarn tail.


Legs (make 2)
Crochet with Light Pink yarn

RND 1: 6 sc in magic ring

Sl st in the 1s st, and ch1

(Do these in each RND of the legs)

RND 2: 1 sc, 1 inc (3x) = 9 sc

RND 3 – 5: sc all round = 3 RNDS of 9 sc

Cut off the yarn leaving a small tail

Make another one with the same procedures and continue working on the body.


BODY

ch 3 and Sl st in the last st of the other legs.

RND 1: ch1, 1 sc in the same st, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, 1 sc in each 3 chs, 8 sc around of the other legs, 1 sc in each of ther side of the chs = 24 sc

Put an st marker in the first st and work in a continuous spiral

RND 2: 5 sc, 1 inc (4x) = 28 sc

RND 3 – 5: sc all around = 3 RNDS of 28 sc

RND 6: 5 sc, 1 dec (4x) = 24 sc

RND 7: 4 sc, 1 dec (4x) = 20 sc

RND 8: 8 sc, 1 dec (2x) = 18 sc

RND 9: 1 sc in every 3 sts, join the arms to the body 4 sc through sts of both layers, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts, join the other arms to the body 4 sc through sts of both layers, 2 sc = 18 sc

Continue working on the head


Head

RND 1: 2 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 24 sc

RND 2: 3 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 30 sc

RND 3: 2 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (6x) = 36 sc

Start the RND 3 with 2 sc & 1 inc then continue to 4 sc & 1 inc around

(end the RND with 2 sc)

RND 4: 5 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 42 sc

RND 5 – 8: sc all around = 4 RNDS of 42 sc

Before you proceed to the next rnd, place the st markers to RND 8 in 19 and 26 st

(6 sts apart)

RND 9 – 11: sc all around = 3 RNDS of 42 sc

Put the safety eyes where you placed the st markers

RND 12: 5 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 36 sc

RND 13: 2 sc, 1 dec, 4 sc (6x) = 30 sc

Start the RND 13 with 2 sc & 1 dec then continue to 4 sc & 1 dec around

(end the RND with 2 sc)

RND 14: 3 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 24 sc

RND 15: 2 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 18 sc

Stuff the head with fiber fill firmly

RND 16: 1 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 12 sc

RND 17: dec (6x) = 6 sc

Sl st in the first st and cut off the yarn leaving a long yarn tail. Weave in the front loops of the rest 6 sts, then pull to close the hole, hide the yarn tail.
