2 mm Tulip crochet hook
6 mm safety eyes
Fiberfill
Tapestry needle and scissor
YARNS:
Milk cotton light yarn in
Tan and Caramel
Mercerized thread in Black
to embroider the mouth
Pink yarn to embroider the cheeks
ABBREVIATIONS:
RND - round
RNDS - rounds
ch - chain
chs - chains
sc - single crochet
st - stitch
sts - stitches
sl st - slip stitch
inc - increase
dec – decrease
Bone knobs (make 2)
Crochet with Tan yarn
RND 1: Make a magic ring and 6 sc inside
Sl st in the 1s st, and ch1
(Do these in each RND)
RND 2: inc (6x) = 12 sc
RND 3: sc all around = 1 RND of 12 sc
RND 4: 2 sc, 1 dec (3x) = 9 sc
sl st in the first st and cut off the yarn.
Make another one with the same procedures and continue working on RND 5
sl st in the last st of the other bone knob and ch 1
RND 5: 1 sc in the same st, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sts around, 9 sc around of the other piece = 18 sc
RND 6: 1 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 12 sc
Put an st marker in the 1st st and work in a continuous spiral
(stuff both bone knobs with fiberfill)
RND 7 & 8: sc all around = 2 RNDS of 12 sc
sl st in the 1st st and cut off the yarn
Change to color Caramel yarn and place it in the first st
Chicken drumstick
RND 1: ch 1, 1 sc in the same st, 1 sc in every 11 sts = 1 RND of 12 sc
Put an st marker in the first st and work in a continuous spiral
RND 2: 3 sc, 1 inc (3x) = 15 sc
Stuff as you go
RND 3: 4 sc, 1 inc (3x) = 18 sc
RND 4: 2 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 24 sc
RND 5: 3 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 30 sc
RND 6: 2 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (6x) = 36 sc
Start the RND with 2 sc & 1 inc then continue to 4 sc & 1 inc around (end the RND with 2 sc)
RND 7 - 11: sc all around = 5 RNDS of 36 sc
Place the st markers to RND 11 in 17th and 24th sts
(6 sts apart)
RND 12 – 15: sc all around = 4 RNDS of 36 sc
RND 16: 4 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 30 sc
RND 17: 3 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 24 sc
Put the safety eyes where you place the st marker
RND 18: 1 sc, 1 dec (8x) = 16 sc
stuff the chicken drumstick with fiberfill
RND 19: dec (8x) = 8 sc
Sl st in the 1st st and cut off the yarn leaving a long yarn tail. Weave in the front loops of the rest 8 sts, then pull to close the hole then hide the yarn tail and cut off the
excess yarns
