Crochet BT21 RJ free English pattern





 

MATERIALS:

2.5 mm Tulip crochet hook

6 mm safety eyes

Fiberfill, pins

Hard felt cloth in Black

Black mercerized thread

Tapestry needle and scissor


YARNS:


Milk cotton yarn in

Coffee, White, and Red


ABBREVIATIONS:


RND - round

RNDS - rounds

ch - chain

chs - chains

st - stitch

sts - stitches

sl st – slip stitch

inc - increase

dec – decrease

sc - single crochet

dc – double crochet

hdc – half double crochet

BLO – back loop only

FLO – front loop only



EARS (make 2)


RND 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1 and 6 sc inside

Sl st in the first st and ch 1 (make these in each RND of the ears)

RND 2: 2 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 8 sc

RND 3 & 4: sc all around = 2 RNDS of 8 sc

Sl st in the first st and cut off the yarn, leaving a long yarn tail


Arms (make 2)

Crochet with Coffee yarn


RND 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, 6 sc inside

Sl st in the back loop of the first st and cut off the yarn. Change the color of the yarn to White then place it in the back loop of the first st and ch 1

RND 2: BLO, 2 sc, 1 inc (2x) = 8 sc

Sl st in the first st and ch 1

(do these in each RND of the arms)

RND 3 – 6: sc all around = 4 RNDS of 8 sc

Stuff the arms with a small amount of fiberfill

RND 7: Flatten the edges 1 sc through 4 sts of both layers

(closing the hole) = 4 sc

Fasten off and cut off the yarn, leaving a small tail


Legs (make 2)

Crochet with Coffee yarn


RND 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, 6 sc inside

Sl st in the back loop of the first st and cut off the yarn. Change the color of the yarn to White then place it in the back loop of the first st and ch 1

RND 2: BLO, 1 sc, 1 inc (3x) = 9 sc

Sl st in the first st and ch 1 (do these in each of the legs)

RND 3 - 5: sc all around = 3 RNDS of 9 sc

Continue working on the body


Body


Ch 1, sl st in the first st of the other legs and ch 1


RND 1: 1 sc in the same st, 1 sc in each 8 sts around of the legs, 1 inc in ch, 1 sc in each 9 sts around of the other legs, 1 inc in the other side of ch = 22 sc

Put a st marker in the first st and work in continuous spiral

RND 2: 10 sc, 1 inc (2x) = 24 sc

RND 3 - 5: sc all around = 3 RNDS of 24 sc

RND 6: 10 sc, 1 dec (2x) = 22 sc

RND 7: 9 sc, 1 dec (2x) = 20 sc

Stuff the both legs with fiberfill

RND 8: sc all around = 1 RND of 20 sc

RND 9: 3 sc, 1 dec (4x) = 16 sc

RND 10: 1 sc in each 2 sts, join the arms to the body 4 sc through sts of both layers, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts, join the other arms to the body 4 sc through sts of both layers, 1 sc = 16 sc

Stuff the body with fiberfill, firmly then continue working on the head


Head


RND 1: FLO, 7 sc, 1 inc (2x) = 18 sc

RND 2: 2 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 24 sc

RND 3: 3 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 30 sc

RND 4: 2 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (6x) = 36 sc

Start the RND with 2 sc & 1 inc then continue to 4 sc & 1 inc (end the RND with 2 sc)

RND 5 - 7: sc all around = 3 RNDS of 36 sc

Place the st markers to RND 7 in 16 & 23 sts (6 sts apart) for the safety eyes

RND 8 - 11: sc all around = 4 RNDS of 36 sc

Put the safety eyes where you placed the st markers

RND 12: 2 sc, 1 dec, 4 sc (6x) = 30 sc

Start the RND with 2 sc & 1 dec then continue to 4 sc & 1 dec (end the RND with 2 sc)

RND 13: 3 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 24 sc

RND 14: 2 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 18 sc

stuff the head with fiberfill, firmly

RND 15: 1 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 12 sc

RND 16: dec (6x) = 6 sc

Sl st in the first st and cut off the yarn, leaving along yarn tail. Weave in the front loops of the rest 6 sts, pull to close the hole then hide the yarn tail and cut off the excess yarns.

Crochet with White yarn


Make a slip knot and ch 35

Start to crochet in the third ch from the hook,

(1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc in one ch), skip 1 ch, sl st in the next ch, skip 1 ch, repeat these 9x



Scarf

Crochet with Red yarn


Make a slip knot and ch 27

1 sc in the second ch from the hook, 1 sc in every 8 chs, 1 hdc in each 3 chs, 1 dc in the next 2 chs, 1 hdc in each 3 chs, 1 sc in each of the next 9 chs
