Crochet kawaii mushroom amigurumi free pattern
MATERIALS:
· 2 mm crochet hook
· 6 mm puncher
· Fiberfill
· scissor
· tapestry needle
· 8 mm cartoon eyes or 6 mm Black safety eyes
· 1 mm White foam sheet or felt cloth for the
White spots of mushroom
· Mercerized cotton thread in Black
for st markers and to embroider the mouth
Yarns:
Milk cotton light yarn in Blush and Spring Green
ABBREVIATIONS:
RND - round
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc – double crochet
st - stitch
sts - stitches
sl st – slip stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease
FLO - front loop only
BLO - back loop only
LEGS (make 2)
Crochet with Blush yarn or any skin color
RND 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1 and 6 sc inside
Sl st in the first st and ch 1
(do these in each RND of the legs)
RND 2 & 3: sc all around = 2 RNDS of 6 sc
Sl st in the first st, cut off the yarn, leave a small tail then make another one and continue working on the body
STEM
Ch 2, sl sl in the first st of the other legs and ch 1
RND 1: 1 sc in each 6 sts around, inc in each 2 chs, 1 sc in each 6 sts around of the other legs, inc in each of the other sides of 2 chs = 20 sc
Put a st marker in the first st and work in continues spiral
RND 2: 4 sc, 1 inc (4x) = 24 sc
RND 3: 3 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 30 sc
RND 4: 2 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (6x) = 36 sc
Start the RND 4 with 2 sc & 1 inc then, continue to 4 sc & 1 inc around (end the RND with 2 sc)
RND 5 – 8: sc all around = 4 RNDS of 36 sc
Put the st markers to RND 8 in 12 & 19 sts (for safety eyes) 6 sts apart
RND 9 – 12: sc all around = 4 RNDS of 36 sc
RND 13: 2 sc, 1 dec, 4 sc (6x) = 30 sc
Start the RND 13 with 2 sc & 1 dec then, continue to 4 sc & 1 dec around (end the RND 13 with 2 sc)
RND 14: 3 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 24 sc
RND 15: 2sc, 1 dec (6x) = 18 sc
Sl st in the front loop of the first st, cut off the yarn, and leave a small tail. Stuff the stem tight with fiberfill or any stuffing materials.
CAP
Change the yarn to Spring Green and place it in the front loop of the first st then ch 1
RND 1: FLO, 2 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 24 sc
Put the st marker in the first st and work in
continuous spiral
RND 2: 3 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 30 sc
RND 3: 2 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (6x) = 36 sc
Start the RND 3 with 2 sc & 1 inc then, continue to 4 sc & 1 inc around (end the RND with 2 sc)
RND 4: 5 sc, 1 inc (6x) = 42 sc
RND 5: 3 sc, 1 inc, 6 sc (6x) = 48 sc
Start the RND 5 with 3 sc & 1 inc then, continue to 6 sc & 1 inc around (end the RND with 3 sc)
Sl st in the back loop of the first st and ch 1
RND 6: BLO, sc all around = 1 RND of 48 sc
RND 7 - 9: sc all around = 3 RNDS of 48 sc
RND 10: 6 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 42 sc
RND 11: sc all around = 1 RND of 42 sc
RND 12: 5 sc, 1 dec (6x) = 36 sc
RND 13: sc all around = 1 RND of 36 sc
RND 14: 2 sc, 1 dec, 4 sc (6x) = 30 sc
Start the RND 14 with 2 sc & 1 dec then, continue to 4 sc & 1 dec around (end the RND with 2 sc)
RND 15: 3sc, 1 dec (6x) = 24 sc
Stuff the cap with a small amount of fiberfill (watch the video above how I stuff the cap).
RND 16: 2sc, 1 dec (6x) = 18 sc
RND 17: dec (9x) = 9 sc
Cut off the yarn, leave a long tail and pull through.
Hold down the cap then, weave in the front loops of the rest of 9 sts, pull to close the hole then, hide the yarn tail, and cut off the excess yarn.
